Take a step back in time and experience Christmas like they did "back then".  The Old Fashioned Christmas Event is a community wide event with organizations all throughout the area participating in one way or another. Grand Lake Rd. to sample and vote for your favorite chili at the East Grand Lake Fire Dept. chili cook off.  Now that you've got your mouth watering, fill up with homemade soup and bread at the Grand Lake Chapel, and then settle in for a fun Christmas story at the Presque Isle District Library - Grand Lake Branch. Now that you're full and warm, you can continue on to the New Lighthouse Park where you'll be greeted by the magical atmosphere of days past.  Check out the Museum which is festively decorated to historic perfection while waiting your turn for the horse drawn sleigh ride throughout the Park.  Warm up and relax with hot cider, cocoa and cookies while enjoying the sounds of bells and caroling in Garrity Hall before heading back home (and if you still have room, stop in again for soup or chili on your way out!).
